Client Terms (New Jersey)
Version 1.0. Effective October 17, 2026.
These terms apply to every booking for a New Jersey event, or any other event booked through our New Jersey branch, with Atlas Bold LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we", "us"). Sapphire Sky Events LLC, the Georgia company that runs this website and owns the brand, is not a party to your booking. We serve New Jersey and the surrounding states. Your signed proposal and these terms form one agreement. If they differ, the signed proposal controls.
Our packages and prices are the same as in Georgia. DJ services are not offered in New Jersey.
1. Booking and payments
- Your date is reserved when you sign the proposal and pay the booking payment.
- Bookings over $2,000: a booking payment of 25% of the contract price, then the remaining 75% in one or more scheduled payments.
- Bookings of $2,000 or less: one payment of the full amount.
- Each invoice is due within 14 days after we send it. The full balance is due no later than 14 days before your event. If you book within 14 days of your event, the full amount is due at signing.
- The payment schedule carries no interest or finance charge.
- Bank transfer (ACH) and card payments carry no surcharge.
- New Jersey sales tax is added to taxable items and services as the law requires and is shown on your invoice. For an event in another state, that state's tax rules apply.
2. Late and returned payments
- If a payment is more than 10 days late, a late charge of $25 applies once for that payment.
- Business clients: instead of the $25 charge, a late charge of 5% of the overdue amount (maximum $250).
- A returned payment costs $30, after written notice to you.
- We may pause design, ordering and delivery while a payment is overdue. If the balance is not paid by the event, we may cancel the booking under section 3.
3. Cancellation
You may cancel in writing to nj@sapphireskyevents.com. We reserve your date, decline other clients, and buy or make items for you. Because that loss is hard to measure in advance, you agree the amounts below are a reasonable estimate of it, not a penalty.
- Notice received more than 180 days before the event: 25% of the contract price (the booking payment).
- 91 to 180 days before: 50%.
- 31 to 90 days before: 60%.
- 30 days or fewer before: 75%.
If our actual loss is clearly lower than the amount above, we charge the lower amount. Payments already made count toward this amount, and we refund any excess within 15 business days. Custom, printed or special-order items already made or ordered are charged in full, even if the schedule shows less. If we cancel for a reason within our control and cannot offer a substitute you accept, we refund everything you paid.
4. Rescheduling and changes
- You may move your date once, with our written approval, to a date within 12 months of the original. The fee is 10% of the contract price (minimum $250, maximum $750). The new date depends on our availability.
- A request made 30 days or fewer before the event is treated as a cancellation unless we agree otherwise.
- Changes requested fewer than 30 days before the event depend on availability. Reductions in that period do not lower the price.
5. Event day and venue
- You confirm the venue allows our setup, effects and timing. Venue rules, access delays or a venue's refusal do not create a refund, unless we caused the problem.
- Final layouts and guest counts are due 14 days before the event. Signage wording and insurance certificate requests are due 30 days before.
- Inspiration photos show style and direction. Natural materials, colors and venue lighting mean the result will not be identical.
- If we cannot provide a contracted item, we may offer a comparable substitute, a credit or a refund for that item.
6. Rentals and special effects
- All décor, equipment and effects remain our property. Please do not move, alter or let guests use them except as intended.
- Loss or damage beyond normal wear is charged at repair or replacement cost. A refundable security deposit may be shown in your proposal. We return it, or list any deductions, within 14 business days after pickup.
- Delivered rentals must be ready for pickup by 11 PM on the event date unless your proposal says otherwise. Items you collect yourself are your responsibility from pickup until we receive them back: please return every item and accessory by the date and time in your invoice.
- Cold sparks, haze, low fog and similar effects run only where the venue and the local fire official allow them. We may stop an effect for safety. A safety stop is not a breach.
7. Additional fees
These apply only when the situation occurs. Your proposal may show other agreed fees. We do not charge any fee that is not listed here or in your proposal.
- Travel and delivery are quoted in your proposal.
- Waiting time or added labor: $75 per crew member per hour.
- Pickup after 11 PM: $250 (after 1 AM: $400).
- Extra trip: $150 per vehicle. Next-day pickup coordination: $350.
- Changes requested fewer than 30 days before the event: 15% of the item price (minimum $150).
- Extra design revision after the second round: $150 per round.
- Storage of your items after the event: free for 5 days, then $25 per day.
8. Photos and videos
We may photograph and film our work at your event, as described in our Photo & Video Policy. You can opt out in writing before the event.
9. Responsibility and claims
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the affected item or service. In New Jersey this limit does not apply to personal injury or property damage caused by our negligence, to our gross negligence or willful misconduct, or to any claim under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act.
- Please report any problem in writing within 5 days after the event, so we can review it while the facts are fresh. This request does not shorten any time limit the law gives you to bring a claim.
- Before disputing a charge with your bank, please write to us and give us 10 business days to resolve it. This does not limit your rights under federal or New Jersey law.
- Delays caused by events beyond anyone's control (severe weather, government orders, venue closure) do not make either side liable. We will first offer a new date or a credit. If you do not accept either, we refund payments for items and services not yet provided, less costs for custom or special-order items already made or ordered for you.
10. Law and versions
- New Jersey law governs these terms. Court cases are filed in the Superior Court of New Jersey or the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. For an event in New Jersey, a case in the Superior Court is filed in the county where the event takes place, unless both sides agree otherwise.
- If a court finds one term unenforceable, the other terms still apply.
- The version in effect on the day you sign governs your booking. This is the first version of these terms for New Jersey. Earlier versions will be kept on our website. Contact: nj@sapphireskyevents.com, (856) 605-2626.
