Privacy & Cookie Policy (New Jersey)
Version 1.0. Effective October 17, 2026.
We collect only what we need to plan your event, and we never sell your personal information.
Who is responsible
Two companies are involved, and each is responsible for its own part.
- Your New Jersey inquiry and event. Atlas Bold LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, provides our services in New Jersey and the surrounding states. It decides how information about New Jersey inquiries, bookings and events is used, and it is the "controller" of that information under privacy laws. Contact: nj@sapphireskyevents.com, (856) 605-2626.
- The website. Sapphire Sky Events LLC, a Georgia limited liability company, owns the brand and runs sapphireskyevents.com, including its cookies and analytics. It handles New Jersey inquiries sent through the site only to pass them to Atlas Bold LLC and to run the site. Contact: info@sapphireskyevents.com.
You can send any privacy request to either contact. We will pass it to the right company and answer it together.
What we collect
- Information you give us: name, email, phone, event date, venue, guest count, budget, design preferences, and messages.
- Booking details: signed agreements, invoices and payment status. Card and bank details are handled by our payment processor. We do not store them.
- Website data: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and how you reached us, collected through cookies (below).
- Event photos and videos, as described in our Photo & Video Policy.
We do not ask for sensitive information, such as health, financial account or government ID numbers, and we ask you not to send it.
How we use it
To answer your inquiry, prepare proposals, plan and deliver your event, take payments, keep business and tax records, improve the website, and, if you agree, send occasional news. We do not use automated decisions or profiling that affect you in a legal or similarly significant way.
Who we share it with
- Between the two companies above, only to answer your inquiry, deliver your event and run the website.
- Service providers that run our business: client management and payments (HoneyBook), website hosting, email, analytics and advertising (Google, Meta). They may use it only to serve us.
- Your venue, planner or other vendors for your event, when needed to deliver it.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
- We do not sell your information and do not share it for others' own marketing.
Cookies
- Essential cookies make the site and forms work and remember your branch. They cannot be turned off.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) count visits and show which pages help. You can turn them off.
- Advertising cookies (Google Ads, Meta) measure our ads and show them to people who visited. You can turn them off.
Analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you accept them in the cookie banner. Before you choose, or if you decline, Google tools on our site store no cookies and read no identifiers. They send only basic signals, such as that a page was visited or an inquiry was sent, which Google uses in aggregate to estimate site visits and ad results. You can change your choice at any time through the Cookie Settings link in the footer. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out of targeted advertising. Our site does not respond to other "Do Not Track" signals.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not book: up to 2 years. Booked clients: for the length of the agreement plus 7 years, for tax and legal records. Then we delete or anonymize it.
Your rights under New Jersey law
The New Jersey Data Privacy Act gives New Jersey residents rights over their personal information. The law applies to a business only above certain size thresholds, so it may not apply to us in every case. Whether or not it applies, we will honor these requests where we reasonably can:
- Confirm whether we process your information and get a copy of it.
- Correct information that is wrong.
- Delete your information, except records we must keep by law, such as tax and booking records.
- Opt out of targeted advertising, of any sale of your information (we do not sell it), and of profiling that affects you in a significant way (we do not do this).
To make a request, write to nj@sapphireskyevents.com or info@sapphireskyevents.com. We may need to confirm your identity. We reply within 45 days, and may extend that once by another 45 days when needed, telling you why. Requests are free, up to the limits the law allows. You may use an authorized agent for an opt-out request. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our answer. We will answer the appeal within the time the law requires and, if you still disagree, you may contact the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Your choices
- Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- We protect information with access controls and trusted providers. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will notify you as New Jersey and other applicable law requires.
Children
Our services and website are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. We do not sell, or use for targeted advertising, information of anyone we know is 13 to 17 years old.
Changes
We post any update on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes are also noted on the New Jersey home page for 30 days. Text messages are covered by our SMS Policy.
